Before you send your device to Doji's warehouse, it's important to make sure that your phone is unlocked and the passcode option is fully disabled. When a handset is locked it means it will only work with the provider from whom you bought it.
In case we identify that your phone is still locked during our handset verification process, we won't be able to proceed with the sale and will attempt to get in touch with you to clarify this situation first. Despite our best efforts to sort this out as soon as possible, it's still going to cause a delay in the sale process.
Ideally, you should follow the below tips to get your phone ready for selling:
- Check if your phone is locked. Simply insert a SIM card from another carrier and see if the name of the network appears on your handset. If it does, and you’re able to use your phone, it’s unlocked.
- If it doesn't, that means your phone is still locked. You will need to ask your mobile network to unlock it for you.
- Your mobile network will explain to you the exact process to follow which can vary from network to network, and clarify if any charges will be applied for this service.
- Usually, they ask for the IMEI number, this is an identifier that’s unique to your phone – and this is how you can get it for your iPhone or Android.
